Struggling with Package Installation on Linux

Hello all,
 
I'm a relatively new user of Linux and have run into some problems with installing packages. I have Ubuntu 22.04, and I am trying to install a few tools (namely, several with apt), but every time I run the command to install them, I get an error pop up stating, "Unable to locate package." I have checked the spelling of the package, and I have updated the repositories (with sudo apt update), but I still keep getting the same error.

I've also tried to search for the packages (with apt search) and they do show up, but as soon as it gets to an install, same error. I'm starting to get pretty frustrated.

Can anyone post suggestions as to possible reasons I may be having this problem? Is it a problem with my package sources? Is it a dependency I'm missing? I'd really appreciate any help or guidance! I have been online looking for the solution but have not had luck yet.
