Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm new to Linux and could use some help with setting up my server. I'm running Ubuntu 22.04 and need guidance on a few things:
How do I configure the network settings?
What are the best practices for securing the server?
Are there any essential tools or software I should install?
I also check this:
Network Sharing with LXQT Sparky Linux 7 Orion-Beltsnowflake But I have not found any solution. Could any advice or step-by-step instructions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time and help!
Best regards
Hi! Nice to meet you. But you chose a Polish community, which is not best for discussion in English.

If you have local access to your server, I recommend disabling remote management completely. Additionally, I always configure my firewall to allow Telnet access from LAN only, while dropping all connection attempts from Internet.

Midnight Commander - a very useful sotware for managing files. I use it, or its equivalents, on every device, including my PNAs.

Sorry, I can't help with this. I don't use Ubuntu, I prefer OpenSolaris.
